53 players returned yesterday to the Merit Crystal Cove Hotel and Casino in Kyrenia for Day 3 of WPT Main Event in Cyprus, which has started 11th season of the WPT.
After playing 4 blind levels of 90 minutes each, only 18 survivors managed to play until the end of the day. Among them the Canadian pro Erik Cajelais (winner of a bracelet at the 2009 WSOP ®), who finished chip leader with a stack of 1,190,000 chips. Behind him, we find Artur Voskanyan (1,035,000) and Walid Bou Habib (986,000).
With them, went through to Day 4 other players as the leader of Day 2 Sam El Sayed (WPT Amneville winner), Robert Mizrachi (winner of a WSOP ® bracelet in 2007 and brother of Michael Mizrachi), Marvin "Mad "Rettenmaier (PartyPoker team pro player and winner of the WPT Championship earlier this year) or Andrey Shatilov (winner of the GSOP Grand Final).
The money bubble burst halfway through the session. The German Marko Neumann was the last eliminated (37°) ran out without a prize, after losing an all-in preflop with AK against Kemel Sevevi’s pocket aces.
Some know players were eliminated already ITM, players such as Alexey "LuckyGump" Makarov (20º), David "Chino" Rheem (22º), Stuart Fox (29º), Dominik Nitsche (30°) or Aubin Cazals (31°).
