FICCI to include poker discussion in October´s sportsbetting conference

Encouraging news for poker in India. FICCI, the largest and oldest apex business organization in India, has considered that poker in India and India poker community should have a voice in its October´s conference on "Regulating Sports Betting and Sports Law in India".

FICCI, once again taking the lead trying to tackle fraud and criminality by encouraging discussion and debate, will be organizing a high-profile conference in October to talk, discuss, and bring light to the matter.  All sorts of stakeholders in the sports industry are expected to attend, from top international sports lawyers, to athletes and sports federations, policy makers, governments officials , etc,.. so the quality of the debate is likely to be tremendously rich.

With all the scandals of match-fixing in IPL, and the tremendous media exposure on the matter, the momentum that regulation trend is gaining is considerable.

FICCI has been sensitive with the upcoming interest of Indian community to the game of poker, a game of skill, so poker will have a special session, called: Participative Betting : The Unique Case of Poker.
