ISPT objective - 15.000 players

19 September 2012

For long has been talking about the doubts that the International Stadiums Poker Tour (ISPT) is generating. The idea of Bernard Tapie to fill Wembley Stadium players seems a chimera, and recent comments, make that clear not only for us but also for the organizers.

As we read through, the marketing director of ISPT, Geroges Djen has recently made some statements where, according to him, the event would never see the light if the figure of 15,000 participants is not reached.

The ISPT lately is doing efforts by promoting the event to be played between May and June 2013, with the signing of Sam Trickett and Michael Mizrachi as ambassadors for the tournament, but still think anything invites optimism, especially as the dates coincide with the first week of the WSOP ® tournaments.

At this time, the number of registered players that can read in the website of the ISPT is stuck in 3341 enrolled, a figure that we don’t see improving.

Moreover, the organization has 7,000 spaces available to the group Partouche (a partner) for holding qualifying satellites through, which does not guarantee a boost involving its affluence, especially after the scandal that took place in the last edition of the Partouche Poker Tour, with consequent brand wear out.

Given all these factors, it appears that the proposed macro project from Bernard Tapie, might finally be in "watered down" if the number that they have aimed to achieve, will not be accomplished.
