Ivey hires Cole South for his pokerschool

15 November 2012

A couple of weeks ago, Phil Ivey presented his new poker school, IveyPoker.com, and now he is determined to share with his students the secrets of his game for free.

Since then, Ivey is trying to strengthen its school with players/world class teachers. He hired Patrik Antonius, Jennifer Harman and champion of the WSOP Main Event Greg Merson.

As reported in PokerNews Spain, his latest signing, Cole South, has been one of the best online players in the world for the last years, known for its creative gameplay and hyper aggressive. South started playing in November 2005 and managed to bring up his bankroll to a staggering $2 million in two years, rising levels from the bottom to the high stakes tables.

South has repeatedly clashed with top pros like Tom Dwan, Ilari Sahamies and Viktor Blom. His greatest achievement was winning $1.1 million in a single day. However, it is also known to suffer severe losses to Dwan and Sahamies.

Away from the tables, we highlight the new Ivey professor was co-owner and co-author of Cardrunners.com (with Tri Nguyen) also author of one of the best books I've read about NL Cash games, “Let There Be Range”.
Ivey has already started accepting students to his school. We will try it out and let you know all about it...
