Alex "kanu7" Millar on this week's high stakes spotlight

12 June 2012

The big winner at the high stakes tables of PokerStars this week was... Alex “Kanu7” Millar. Kanu7 made headlines when in mid-march confronted Viktor “isildur1” Blom in the SuperStar Showdown beating him in the 2.500 hands of the challenge by $37.687.
Alex Millar is a solid winner at high stakes PokerStars Tables, He is the typical low profile player that works the tables quietly and ends up the big winner of the session.

Last week Millar won 461.892$ in just 4.160 hands, so we assume he run very well. This bankroll boost placed Kanu7 to the 11th place of the 2012 high stakes winners Leaderboard with $751.260 in winnings.

After Alex “Kanu7” Millar we find in a not too distant 2nd place, the unknown “wilhasha” that needed 15.250 hands to win a staggering $384.162 in winnings. This amount allows him to become positive from the -$241.009 that he had already lost at the online poker tables.

To complete the top three we have the anonymous British player “longerpig”, who came in full throttle to the high stakes games at PokerStars. Just last week he won $244.690 in only 5.859 hands and with just three months of play gathers $391.306 in overall winnings.

In the other end of the chart where the players with higher losses reside we can find the anonymous player from Macau “Patpatman”, that “gave away” $540.635, in just 4.625 hands. The debacle has brought him way down the leaderboard to 23rd in winnings this year with $439.442.

Second place in this week’s biggest losses we find the Korean player Eunjong “JJu” Byun, that left $267.666 at the nosebleed tables. The annual balance of the Asian player is now -$139.040.

This week brings a surprising third place in losses of Andrew “EireAbu” Grimason, one of the leaders of the 2012 winners leaderboard. The Irish player had a terrible week and lost $161.598 in 4.642 hands, and the worst part is that Ben “Sauce123” Sulsky pick up the first place of the 2012 leaderboard leaving Grimason with the secont place with $2.215.985 in winnings.

This time on the top ten player losses leaderboard we don’t see isildur1 and Guy Laliberté since they are playing the WSOP in Las Vegas.
