Australia tests online poker for five years

A report published by the Daily Telegraph suggests that the Australian government is considering conduct a test period of 5 years to play online poker, and that this action may be made in the next 6-12 months.

The online newspaper said it obtained documents from the federal government, where it was possible to identify a change in policy related to online gambling.

The Department of Communications Minister Stephen Conroy did not deny having produced a study of online gambling legislation, together with several members of the gaming industry.
