First win for an Indian in Macau Poker Cup

PokerStars LIVE at the City of Dreams is well into its Macau Poker Cup (MPC) schedule and after several record-setting preliminary events, the main event has recently started.

In that series of pre-liminary events, Indian player Amit Ajwani has won the Event 4. The tournament was a NLH Turbo with a HKD $3000 buy-in.

The tournament had a 233 player field, and Amit pocketed a first price of  HKD $143,400 (around INR 10 lacs). Fellow countryman Amit Varma coming close to the title with a 3rd place finish (HKD $58,000) alongside Kavish Kukreja (9th for HKD $15,300), Romit Advani (17th for HKD $7,600) and Sailesh Lohia (23rd for HKD $4,600).

Other Indians who made it in the money include Romit Advani (17th), Kavish Kukreja (9th) and Amit Varma (3rd).
