Sam El Sayed, Chipleader in day 2 of WPT Cyprus

131 players returned yesterday to the Merit Crystal Cove Hotel and Casino in Kyrenia for Day 2 of the WPT Main Event in Cyprus, which starts the 11th season of this prestigious international live poker circuit.

After struggling for 5 levels of 90 minutes, 53 players made it with chips through the day. Among them, Sam El Sayed, chip leader with 375,500 chips, and Erik Cajelais, with a similar stack of 371,500.

Along with them, have passed into Day 3 other well known players, Robert Mizrachi, Chino Rheem (Chipleader on Day 1), Marvin Rettenmaier, Alexey Makarov, Oleksii Kovalchuk, Dominik Nitsche (who made re-entry after falling on Day 1B, 1A) and Stuart Fox

Other players did not “survive” the day, Michael "The Grinder" Mizrachi (ambassador of ISPT), Gaelle Baumann (October Nine bubble), Nicolas Chouity, Tuan Lee, Lukas Berglund, Toni Judet or even Kelly Kim.
