South Point and Monarch have green light for real money

24 August 2012

It´s oficial, South Point Casino and Monarch both have received licenses as operator, manufacturer and service provider of interactive gaming systems in the state of Nevada. As we have been reporting in the last few days South Point will now be the first ever legal real money poker room in the US. According to South Point´s CEO Mark Gaughan, the new room is to be operating for real money already in October using their own poker platform.(patent pending)

As for Monarch they have still to find a partner to provide the platform.Bally Technologies looks like the front runner in this race, the company was the first one to be licensed as a manufacturer and has already launched a play money poker site for Golden Nugget Casino at the end of June.

Global Cash Access (GCA) has also received a license as payment processor in the state of Nevada.

It´s now the last sprint and looks like South Point is leading by far! Can they reach the finish line as early as October?
