Time out from poker for Adam Junglen

25 July 2012

Last week, we saw Phil Galfond publish in his personal blog a change in his mentality regarding his poker career, sacrificing his winnings towards his happiness, now, another American poker player, Adam Junglen, shows his intention of leaving the poker world for some time.

The reason that makes Junglen take this decision is somewhat different from Phil Galfond. According to his personal blog, his performance in the last WSOP did not go as expected, only making ITM in three events of the 21 he participated.

He did not make this decision on his own. Daniel Negreanu, who besides friend is also his backer, also recommended a break on his poker career to decompress from the constant stress he was being submitted to, all with the goal to re-encounter the happiness in his life.

For who does not know who we are talking about, we have to mention that Junglen capture the attention of the poker world when in 2007 he reach the final table of the EPT Barcelona, finishing 6th and winning 196.500€. His paused style captured the attention of everyone that saw that final table. This is still his biggest result live until today, although he has some relevant results online like a victory in a PokerStars Sunday Million and a 3rd position in the main event of the FTOPS 2009.
