Impressive run in WSOP Main event by India poker player Aditya ‘Intervention’ Agarwal

21 July 2013

As the nine members of the 2013 World Series of Poker (WSOP) final table, otherwise known as the “November Nine,” have been determined, we want to congratulate an impressive run by India poker players in the top poker tournament in the world.

Especially great performance by renowned Indian poker pro, Aditya ‘Intervention’ Agarwal who finished 212th in the WSOP Main Event, pocketing back home $42,990. He was the last Indian standing and Aditya´s performance only confirms the upcoming “good shape” of poker in India.

Indian poker is coming closer and closer to be in the map of top world poker, and it is only a matter of time until we can see an India poker player in the final table. More people play poker in India nowadays, and the big boom of poker is coming soon. For sure, having TV exposure in such a huge event would definetly speed up the massive interest for the game.

As for his Facebook update, his bust out hand : “lost KJ vs 99 for 500kish pot”

Once more, congratulations to Aditya from pokerwaka. Way to go!
