Zynga opened tender for real money poker

24 July 2012

According to egrmagazine, Zynga opened a tender for a real money poker platform with a number of leading suppliers responding to the potentially lucrative Zynga contract. According to egr sources, this tender was opened even before the alleged interest in the acquisition of Ongame network.

It's known that GTECH G2 and Playtech already submitted their offers to Zynga, although they don’t know the stage of the process it should cover the online and mobile channels, it’s also rumoured that Intralot and Microgaming are in the picture as well.

The massive player liquidity of Zynga Poker makes it a significant player in the industry and a potencial lucrative deal for the company that will supply the online poker platform, and because of this, a different source claimed that Zynga was actually already scouted by the vast majority of industry’s leading suppliers regarding the tender.

It’s still unknown if the acquisition of Ongame would cancel the tender, but for sure we can already confirm that Zynga’s CEO Mark Pincus (pictured) plans go way beyond Facebook platform.
